Our capabilities are showcased in; building and fabricating the 200 tonne, 20m high, 400kw DeltaStream demonstration device for Tidal Energy Ltd; building the first stage of an innovative wave energy converting device for our client ‘Wave-tricity’ , delivering the Offshore Support Vessel Dart Fisher in 2014; and the BMT Nigel Gee designed 20m Wind Farm Support Vessel for Turbine Transfers in 2015.
Our competencies include; design optimisation, welding and fabrication, mechanical and electrical engineering, marine coatings and blasting, drive train alignment, balancing and project management.
The Welsh coastline has some of the best wave and tidal stream resource in the world with potential to deliver 6.4 GW of installed capacity. Mainstay Marine Solutions are well placed in the Milford Haven Waterway to support businesses investing in this central hub for Marine Energy.
With the designation of two demonstration zones, seabed agreements in place for 3 separate tidal projects and a number of proposals for tidal range projects, Wales has the potential to become a world leader in the Marine Energy market.
