Having previously achieved ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification, Welsh marine engineers, Mainstay Marine Solutions has recently gained certification to ISO 45001:2018, the global Occupational Health and Safety standard, becoming one of only a few boat builders in the UK to be certified to all three.
By gaining this latest certification, Mainstay Marine, based in Pembroke Dock has demonstrated that it has rigorous Health and Safety processes in place throughout its operations.
“The ISO certification is the most widely accepted and trusted verification of any management system globally for any business. The health and safety of our employees and visitors has always been paramount, we are delighted to have achieved this” Stewart Graves, Managing Director commented.
Graves added “With all three standards under our belt, customers and stakeholders can benefit from the knowledge that Mainstay has excellent systems in place both strategically and in its day-to-day operations”.
Mainstay completed the upgrade and re-certification to ISO’s Quality Management Systems standard (9001:2015) back in January 2018 and gained its ISO 14001:2015 certification for its Environmental Management System in April 2019.
